Minors

Students have the opportunity to complete three unique COF minors.

The COF Minor in Performing Arts integrates performing experiences with classroom study of the performing arts: dance, music, theater, and performance art. The minor is open to students at all COF institutions. Click here for more information.

The COF Minor in Sustainability is embedded in the international recognition that unsustainable pressures resulting from human activity threaten the natural systems on which human existence depends. These pressures often impact the most vulnerable members of society. The minor encourages students to explore connections between their specific career-directed studies to issues of the natural world, finite resources, and social justice. The minor is open to students at all COF institutions. Click here for more information and minor courses.

The COF Minor in Migration Studies, offered through Emmanuel College and Simmons University, addresses an urgent need to prepare undergraduate students for professional and civic lives in a world increasingly marked by diversity. The program enhances student understandings of migration, emigration, and immigration through strong scholarly foundations, interdisciplinary case studies, and engagement with the Boston community. Students minoring in migration studies will grapple with important questions about diversity and what it means to live in a “country of immigrants,” while enhancing their global awareness. Minors at other COF Schools

The hallmark of the five college consortium, cross-registration enables students to take courses that may not be offered at their home institution, in addition to the chance to explore academic minors. Through cross-registration, students can take courses and complete the equivalent to a minor at another COF campus. Click here for more information.
