Class Descriptions
  • Yoga – This class is appropriate for all levels including those with no or little experience with yoga. Class will focus on the intention of being mindful, noticing the connection of movement to breath, and special attention to body awareness and alignment. This practice is helpful for those experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety, and tension, among other sensations.
  • Zumba – Zumba is a dance fitness workout featuring Latin and international rhythms and movement. This class will feature a variety of music, including popular songs, with a set list that will change minimally during the semester. Each song will have choreographed movement that will build in intensity and complexity as the song progresses. This class is medium intensity and impact, with alternative movement suggestions to match your comfort and fitness level. No dance/Zumba experience necessary!
  • Pilates – Open to all levels, this class will challenge your core strength, flexibility, and mind-body connection. We will explore classic Pilates exercises as well as other somatic methods to get you feeling strong, stretched, and sensational!
  • Meditation – Want to slow things down a little? Meditation is an opportunity to focus on your breath and clear your mind. Using tools such as visualization, metta meditation techniques, connectivity, mindfulness, body and mind awareness and relaxation, we invite participants to go inward to focus their attention on the present moment and finding calm to relieve stress and tension without judgment.
