The following schools also have theater groups, some of which are open to the whole COF community. Consider joining one of them or attending their performances!

Emmanuel College

Emmanuel College Theater Guild
This group puts on two major productions each year, giving students
opportunities to be involved in the planning and performance of both
dramas and musicals. Rehearsals and performances are held at Emmanuel College. A highlight of the 2004-05 academic year, was the production of the musical No, No, Nanette. This show has been associated with the Boston Red Sox for years, and history was made when the Emmanuel College Theater Guild performed it “just across the street” from Fenway Park! For further information on becoming involved in this group, please contact Scott Gagnon (gagnons@emmanuel.edu).

Simmons College

V Day Simmons
As an activity of the Feminist Organization at Simmons, students have
performed The Vagina Monologues every February for the past four
years. Students interested in this event or other theater groups on campus should contact the Office of Student Activities at Simmons College (www.my.simmons.edu/life/studentactivities).

Wheelock College

Wheelock Family Theater

Now in its 24th year, this award-winning, non-profit, equity theater operates on the Wheelock College campus. It typically performs three mainstage productions each year --- usually one family musical, a children’s play appealing to all ages, and an adult drama or comedy. Past productions include Pippi Longstocking, Bel Canto, and many others. Staged readings of original works are also performed in the Little Theater on the Wheelock Campus.

Although it is an independent organization, the Wheelock Family Theater seeks to offer opportunities for students who may audition for shows, work as volunteers on various projects, or arrange an internship. Students interested in opportunities at the Wheelock Family Theater may contact John Bay at jbay@wheelock.edu.
