Are you concerned with information privacy and security matters for your organization or department? Join a cyber law and risk management lunch and learn presentation to discuss information and data security risks, how to navigate security claims, and considerations for organizations and teams to ensure they have the necessary the training, skills, resources, and coverage to protect against data breaches, fraud, and cyber financial crimes. Presenters include Cameron Shilling from McClane Middleton, and Sam Daume, from Fred C. Church Ins. 



Cameron G. Shilling, Director, Litigation Department & Chair of Privacy and Data Security at McLane Middleton, Professional Association

Cameron G. Shilling is a Director at McLane Middleton, P.A. Cam founded the firm’s Information Privacy and Security Group in 2009, which has grown to four attorneys and a technology paralegal. In his 25 plus years as an attorney, Cam has managed, litigated, and resolved numerous information security, technology and complex litigation matters throughout New England and around the country. His experience in information privacy and security includes the following: managing risk assessments and audits for organizations and private clients; mapping and inventorying information collected and processed by organizations; preparing and implementing a wide variety of internal and external written information privacy and security policies and procedures; providing interactive and proactive training and testing to executives, managers and employees; addressing day-to-day cybersecurity issues; conducting due diligence and implementing privacy and security agreements with vendors and customers; conducting privacy and security due diligence for transactions, and working with organizations to prepare them for that due diligence; investigating and remediating privacy and security incidents and breaches; responding to incidents of cyber financial crime and fraud; and handling information privacy and security claims asserted against companies by regulators, consumers, customers, vendors, and others. Cam earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1995, and interned for United States District Court Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington, D.C.


Samuel D. Daume, Jr. Client Executive – Senior Vice President at Fred C. Church Insurance, Inc.

Sam has been in the insurance industry since 1986 and has worked with educational institutions since 1989. He joined the Fred C. Church Education Team as a Client Executive in January of 2009 and provides risk management advice and insurance brokerage service to independent schools, colleges and universities. He is also the Co-Leader of the firm’s Outdoor + Adventure Practice and works with numerous well-known outdoor experiential educational organizations. His experience includes 32 years as a Client Executive with three insurance brokers assuming various leadership positions at each firm. His education includes: B.A. Trinity College 1986; St. Paul’s School 1982; Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter 1993; Associate in Risk Management 1995.
