Recreation

Not into team sports….that’s okay…the COF has you covered! We offer many recreational activities throughout the year for you to participate in. Whether you’re into running, kayaking during the Fall, biking, ice skating, or shredding the slopes, we have an activity for you! Many of these activities are low cost or NO cost at all to enjoy. Be sure to sign up for the IMLeagues platform to stay up to date on all the fun COF has to offer you.

  • Annual Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk– The COF’s most attended one day event during the school year! Run annually in the Back Bay Fens around Clemente Field, you can walk to the event then run the route without even crossing a street. With the help of all the runners, we have donated thousands of pounds of non-perishable food items to the those who are in need throughout the City of Boston. Sign up, wear costumes, challenge each other and have some fun!! The 18th annual COF Turkey Trot will be held Saturday, November 11th, 2023 at 11am. Check in begins at 10:15am and the trot is scheduled for 11am. Check out more details and how to sign up here.
  • Kayaking – Each year during the Fall we offer kayaking on the Charles River, or other scenic bodies of water, that allow students to experience New England’s Fall foliage from the water. Even if you’ve never kayaked before, this event is a great way to learn, have fun with friends and get some great pics of Fall in the Boston area.
  • Downhill Skiing – Great opportunity to experience New England during the winter! Enjoy the slopes at some of the best mountains the northeast has to offer. Whether you’re a new to skiing OR can shred the black diamond slopes with the best of them…..come skiing with the COF!! These trips have limited availability and fill up very fast, so sign up as soon as you see the flyers around campuses.

There are MANY more events throughout the year! COF also offers Ice Skating, Hiking, Fantasy Sport Leagues, HR Derby’s, March Madness Bracket Challenges, and more! Make sure you sign up for IMLeagues to stay up to date with all the recreational offerings the COF provides each year.
