Spring 2022 Campus Masking Policies

COF Guidelines: The Colleges of the Fenway (COF) follow the policies of the member institutions. When visiting another campus, students, faculty, and staff are reminded to follow the policy of the host institution. Mask requirements may vary by campus.

Below is a summary of each institutions masking policy:

  • Emmanuel College is mask optional, but offices and classrooms are able to request others to wear face coverings. Those with approved vaccine exemptions must remain masked within campus buildings.
  • Simmons University has made masks optional to those who are vaccinated and booster, except in testing sites, the Health Center, athletic shuttles, and certain spaces where there is posted signage that masks are still required. Those who are unvaccinated are asked to remain masked while indoors.
  • Wentworth Institute of Technology has made masks optional for all indoor spaces, including instructional spaces such as classrooms, labs, and studios, with exeptions for Optum Medical Clinic, the COVI-19 testing hub, those who are unvaccinated or not boosted, individuals in isolation, and those who have been in close contact with someone who tested positive.
  • MCPHS has very specific instances where masking is and is not required. Essentially, masks are optional for classrooms, offices, and meeting rooms, but required for laboratory settings or any healthcare facility they operate.
  • MassArt requires masks for everyone indoor regardless of vaccination status, but does not require masks for the first floor in residence halls and above.

Please direct any questions to the specific campus contacts identified on each re-entry page.
