Introduction

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is conducted individually at each COF institution. We are happy to host EHS-specific best-practices on our website. Environmental Health and Safety provides review of the Colleges’ safety and health programs, performs audits, and provides recommendations for EH&S program enhancements. EH&S reviews accidents and incidents for areas for improvement, reviews the laboratory and facility safety programs for the Colleges, and provides a variety of safety services, policies, procedures and guidance documents.  EH&S serves as liaison with regulatory and compliance agencies and is charged with certain EH&S inspections for a safe and healthy environment for faculty, adjuncts, staff, and students. Below is the process, which will be used to eliminate or reduce a hazard associated with an activity, process, and/or equipment.
