Event Type

Learn practical tips for performance management, mentoring employees, and leading teams.

It’s not easy managing others; you encounter challenges every week. This program will cover four topics:  identifying what Gen Z and new employees (of any age) need from their managers to thrive at work; tips for delivering regular performance feedback to your direct reports; identifying the root causes of poor performance; supporting high performers in their annual reviews.

This session is facilitated by Kathy Rogers:

Kathy Rogers is a native of Boston who lives in Arlington, Massachusetts. Kathy retired from Simmons University in 2022 where she served as chief of staff, senior vice president and general counsel, and secretary to the board of trustees. During her 20+ years at Simmons, Kathy advised four Simmons presidents and hundreds of trustees, senior officers, and colleagues on a broad range of legal, governance, strategic, and policy matters. Kathy is a frequent speaker on higher education topics.
