Rehearsals start the week of September 17, 2023
Rehearsals: Mondays, 7:30-9:30PM (with occasional rehearsals on Wednesday evenings)
Concert: Wednesday, November 29 at 7:30pm (combined with Chorus)
Location: Wentworth Institute of Technology, Watson Hall
Auditions
The COF Orchestra is open to students, staff, and faculty by audition. Friendly, painless auditions are held at least twice a year for new instrumentalists and once a year in September for returning instrumentalists interested in a leadership role. Returning orchestra members do not need to re-audition. String players are particularly encouraged to audition.
Audition Requirements:
- A short solo piece or excerpt from solo or ensemble repertoire of your choice
- Major scales to 3 sharps/3 flats
- Sight-reading
