Colleges of the Fenway (COF) Theater is a non-auditioned group that offers co-curricular theater instruction and performance opportunities for students at the five member institutions. COF Theater puts on fully staged performances at the end of each semester. Productions have included musicals, plays by Shakespeare, student and faculty written plays, and works by award-winning playwrights. Participation requires a semester long commitment and a willingness to explore and have some fun.

SRING 2026 REGISTRATION
All participants are required to register online through the Colleges of the Fenway Mindbody platform.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7-10pm and some Thursdays 7-9pm. Not all actors/tech students will need to attend all rehearsals.

Mean Girls: The Musical brings Tina Fey’s iconic film to the stage with catchy songs by Jeff Richmond and Nell Benjamin, following homeschooled Cady Heron as she navigates the treacherous world of North Shore High, infiltrating the elite “Plastics” clique led by the ruthless Regina George, leading to hilarious chaos, friendship drama, and lessons on identity, bullying, and “fetch” in this witty, pop-culture-filled comedy.

NEW THIS SPRING: PUPPET & PRODUCTION LAB

Rehearsals start January 21, 2026 – Wednesdays from 7-9pm, with additional days TBD depending on participant availability. Not all performers/tech students will need to attend all rehearsals.

The new “Puppet & Production Lab” is an opportunity for participants to produce collaborative and student-lead projects in multiple styles of puppetry including shadow theater, muppet-style puppets, rod puppets, object theater, stop-animation, and more! This semester, we are including student projects with or without puppetry.

All projects will be presented at the end of the semester in a showcase on or near campus. Seeking participants interested in all areas of theatrical endeavors – actors, directors, puppeteers, playwrights, songwriters, musicians, stage managers, lighting designers, puppet builders, set designers, costumers, dancers, and more!
